Pepsi Max Pinoy

There's Pinoy version of the Pepsi MAX: don't worry there's no sugar AD. And they missed the idea of the original ads. Sigh!

PC Story

Last November, I was having problems with my XPC. First, it was the video card, the damn thing just won't load. So I went to where I bought my rig since it was still under warranty, no worries. They were able to fix the video card by installing a new driver but while they were checking every component, they found out that one of my RAMs had corroded strips. So they advised me to get it replaced. Okay, I still have 512MB of RAM left for 2 weeks until I get the replacement, no worries. Went home then enjoyed my working PC even though it felt incomplete. A month after, I went there with my PC to get the other RAM, but during my first visit there, the security guard took the paper they gave me, I thought it was SOP so I never bothered with it. When it was time to get it, they were looking for it. So kinda argued with them that it wasn't my fault it went missing but they still insisted that I file an affidavit of loss. Avoiding further arguements, I went home with a still incomplete unit. After a week, I went back with the papers but now we found out that the video card is now out of commission. So I went home without a video card but at least, a complete set of RAM. I'm currently using my XPC's built-in video accelerator. Works well, for now.
Thank you for reading such an uninteresting story! Hehe!

Saw Saw Suka...

I've been hearing about this movie entitled "SAW", a friend of mine who's a fan of the horror/zombie genre told me that it's really good and let go of all my expectations. And with the coming sequel, I found it obligatory to see the original. So yesterday, after meeting up with a guy who sold me Lost in Translation, me being sick and all, visited the video shop (legit) and looked for a copy of Saw. I got the last copy, it doesn't look too good though, the packaging, printing, etc. But I had to watch it. So I got it. I immediately went home because of my terrible terrible cough but tried to watch the movie. The video was disappointing for a legit copy. Im sure it's made locally, I can tell. The video didn't look like it was digitally treated, hence, all the dirt and the limitations of blacks in the overall movie. This is a bit annoying since this is wuite a dark movie. Still, from the start, I was hooked on it. I didn't even move from my seat... I must've forgotten about the pause button. Anyway, I was blown away after the movie. For something shot in just 18 days with limited budget, this is truly an inspired movie.
I've been really sick these past few days. A hard cough, frequent fever, runny nose. Man, this has got to be one of my sickest moments and I can't do anything but hate it. Tomorrow, I'll have to go visit the doctor. This could be worse, Asthma, Bronchitis, or TB (God forbid). So with that, I try to avoid too much cuddling with Guia until I'm sure what this is.

First Post of the Year

It's been a while since I last posted anything. Half a month, I think. I've been pretty busy especially last week. But now, I can breathe and post. First, Happy new year to all! With the busy days over, I had time to rearrange my room for better DVD watching experience. My setup isn't much but it makes me happy. Hehe! Here are pics of some of my Star Wars figures. The first pic shows my big figures, an ArtFX Sandtrooper and Darth Vader, 12 inch General Grievous, Unleashed Vader 2005, Applause Darth Maul and Anakin's Jedi Starfighter. Second pic has my Unleashed figures (Darth Vader, Count Dooku, Darth Maul, Darth Sidious vs. Yoda, CloneTrooper Red Variant, Mace Windu - I usually just buy the bad guys since they look cooler but Vader was only available through a set with Dooku and Windu.). It also shows my Vader helmet and lightsaber. Third pic shows my basic figures with R2 from Jolibee. Hehe!
This has been a good year for me and my collecting. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for my wallet. I started collecting DVDs and the number keep rising. But still, I am a happy 2ngaw. But for January, I should refrain from buying toys and dvds impulsively. Can't promise that though...
