Impulse Buying

White is in! (Taken with my K700i)

After convincing myself not to upgrade to a Sony Cybershot T33 because of it's absurdly expensive price for a point-and-shoot camera and Memory Stick. I found myself content with my Casio Exilim Z30. But while walking around Cyberzone with my friend Belo, I saw this white S100. I fell in love instantly. It's now priced at P15,200 form it's intro price of P19'500 last October. So I thought it's a steal! So there I was, making calls to friends whomight be interested in getting my Z30 and I hit jackpot. Right then and there, I got the S100. Not exactly a big upgrade but more for it's aesthetics. I'm content... for now. This is becoming the new obsession I had with cellphones before. I'm done with that, thankfully.
Now, my favorite show right now is The Contender, and there is now a Pinoy counterpart entitled KAMAO. They're both boxing reality series but presented in a different way. And unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with Kamao. I guess it's how it's executed. Pinoys love melodrama, and the fighters' stories, their lives, however true and hard they may be (which I respect) is something we all have heard before. We sure need toknow theirfamilies, where they come from and why they do it. But the show should've focused more on the fighter's personality. Much like in The Contenders... you love some fighters, you hate some. And we don't need commentators during fights. The fight speaks for itself (althogh the fights were unimpressive, it couldve been better if edited well). Well, it's agood effort though. for our Pinoy boxers who need to be noticed. Amen. I can't wait to see Manny Pacquiao's fight this coming sunday. I pray he knocks down Morales.Posted by Hello

NML is out!

Yesterday, I was awakened by the sound of someone knocking furiously at my door. I just had a few hours of sleep and I was quite irritated that it was cut short by the noise. Nobody wakes me up because my family knows I usually stay up at night to work. So I wassurprised. Turns out it's my cousin, telling me there's someone at the gate looking for me. Alright, I got up, and went to the front gate. And there he was, the FEDEX guy, "Are you Jennyson Rosero, sir?" I knew what it was so my eyes just got widefrom excitement. I signed the papers and ran back to my pad-ito. It was my first NML copy. The first of many. I immediately opened the envelope and there it was, in all it's printed glory. Our baby, we've been wotking on it for half a year and it's finally here! ANd I have to say, I was impressed withthe quality of printing. My art definitely improved from the compression of the page size. The lines were finer, to be honest, when I was young, I was baffled at how those manga-kas do those fine lines. There is nothing in this world, a tool that can do such fine lines. And now I know the answer, there's nothing special about it. Hehehe! But it was good. I'm seeing my art in a whole new light. I'm so happy. I hope it sells well in the US. It's quite expensive here, if the cover price of $10.99 would be converted here, it would be around P600 or more. I don't know anyone who shells out that much money on manga. I hope someone will take the chance to see all of Seven Seas books. Posted by Hello

Newtype Review

Image hosted by

Here's a review on No Man's Land from Newtype magazine! This is really exciting! To be part of something this big. I just hope it gets stronger and stronger!

Now, I rarely go gaga over TV shows, but having seen the pilot episode of Mark Burnett's THE CONTENDER... I must say that I am hooked. It's a boxing reality series hosted by Sly Stallone and Sugar Ray Leonard featuring 16 professional boxers who're given a chance to shine. The presentation is very good and it's actually better than watching a real boxing telecast (the show IS REAL boxing) with slow motions and sounds of punches like thunder. Overblown but it's used effectively. It should be something to see. Check it out if you have the time! It's worth it!
